In our general business activities, we can affect the lives of lots of people; our colleagues, our customers, our partners and the communities in which we work. And so we believe we have a collective responsibility to make a positive impact on these people and to take their needs into account helping to build happier and healthier communities.
Supported by our Group values in doing the right thing, we’ve developed a strong culture of “giving back” both in our time and our money. Through an annual CSR programme of events, sustained with financial targets and other KPI’s, we are looking for a dedicated CSR guru. Someone who has experience and appreciation of creating, launching and implementing a user friendly, appealing and engaging strategy, whilst delivering our vision to both our people and external stakeholders in a meaningful and impactful way.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring that we give back to the communities we operate in whilst creating shared value for the Group.
In a nutshell, what the role will entail:
Create and execute a detailed annual CSR strategy, with calendar management for events, activities, initiatives and communications.
Inspire, engage, recruit and embrace all employees across the Group, to ensure they believe in the GAS vision for CSR.
Report, analysis and improve upon financial contributions as well as other KPIs and targets as agreed.
What we need from you…
Ideally a minimum of 12 months experience in a role heavily linked to charitable/fundraising activity within the work-place/corporate environment.
If “real life” experience is limited, the personality to engage with people, having meaningful conversations with fellow colleagues, internal stakeholders and the wider community including potential partners organisations.
A vision for CSR; lots of ideas and initiatives of how our people can become even more immersed and engaged in “giving back” to their local communities.
And the qualifications you will need to offer to us…
Ideally the successful candidate will be educated to degree standard, however, we’d welcome applications from people with life experiences within a charitable role (based within the workplace.)
