Great Annual Savings Group (GAS), one of the UK’s leading cost reduction specialists, has been named as the second fastest growing company in the North East.
The prestigious Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards, in association with The Journal, celebrate growth, innovation and the commercial achievements of North East businesses.
Based on financial data filed with Companies House, the list ranks the 50 best performing privately-owned companies which have consistently increased turnover over the past three financial years, whilst remaining profitable. GAS was ranked 2nd in a year which saw the firm move into its new £3m Sea View HQ in Seaham and its customer portfolio pass the 11,000 mark nationwide.
2021 is the GAS’ second consecutive year on the list, demonstrating sustained growth by jumping from eighth in 2020 to second in 2021 despite the impacts of the pandemic.
Damien Charlton, a Partner at Ward Hadaway’s Newcastle Office, said, “Congratulations to GAS and every company in the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 for 2021 for their tremendous achievements.
“Across a range of sectors we are seeing regional businesses succeeding, through tenacity, determination and a desire to succeed, whatever challenges they are faced with.
“This year’s Fastest 50 list, as always, boasts many management teams with an unwavering passion to succeed who have created high growth, profitable businesses. It’s this spirit, and the business success that it creates, that we are delighted to celebrate.”
The announcement marks a culmination of good news for GAS, coming hot on the heels of the firm being recognised as the UK’s joint number one cost reduction specialist for customer care by Trustpilot.
The Group recently announced the launch of its new charitable organisation, GF Community Foundation, a charity focussed on providing hope, employment and community support to socioeconomically challenged areas in the North East with high levels of unemployment.
