GF COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANT SCHEME

The foundation is launching a dedicated investment fund allowing small community groups and “gifted & talented” individuals to apply for funding in a structured, measurable manner.

Our Locations

The GF Community Foundation will focus on four geographical areas in County Durham and two strategic project areas in partnership with Sunderland City Council.

OUR PLAN FOR HOPE

The Foundation will execute key delivery strands in disadvantaged communities, targeting three demographics: elderly and vulnerable, children and young people, and families.

Sport, Health & Wellbeing programmes for all

Delivering targeted programmes that engage our demographic and create positive experiences/lifelong habits.

Community
Spirit

Investing in the community where it’s needed. From improvements to sports facilities to creation of community gardens, we want to bring people together and improve cohesion.

Education & Employment

Building on GAS’ highly-successful apprenticeship programme by working with schools and colleges to provide opportunities, whilst educating the elderly on life improving digital connectivity.

Not-for-profit organisation support

Offer the use of GAS’ most in-demand professionals to help small organisations achieve best practice and maximise impact. There are superheroes in our communities and we need to support them.
Tom-Lavender

“We’re here to support the existing work taking place, and all of the efforts to date fit with our delivery strands, which sets up the Foundation to deliver maximum social impact across the region.”
