Milestone

Milestone Case Study

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Established over 26 years ago, Milestone has grown to become one of the leading NISA Stores in Northern Ireland. In addition to their convenience and fuel offering, the site now offers visitors a complete shopping experience, including a deli counter, bakery and ice cream bar.

The store has won a plethora of awards in recent years including: UK Independent Retailer, Ireland’s Food to Go Retailer, NI Bakery, Deli and Retailer of the Year 2016.

OVERVIEW

With an ever-expanding business enterprise, the need to manage and control Milestone’s energy expenditure became crucial.

As the business continues to grow, so does their energy usage. With the highest level of professional standards in everything they do, Milestone looked to work with experts with a proven track record in the sector.

Driven by strong working relationship with GAS energy consultants in Northern Ireland, the two firms came to an agreement that GAS would represent the Milestone in future negotiations with energy suppliers.

SOLUTION

After undertaking a comprehensive examination and analysis of their existing energy contracts, GAS utilised their unique relationships with some of the country’s leading energy suppliers to access prices and tariffs otherwise unavailable to those in the business world.

In a volatile energy market, brought about by the uncertainties of Brexit and rising inflation rates, GAS reduced Milestone’s current energy bills by £7,000 over the course of the next two years.

As part of the continuous support service they offer to clients, GAS’ team processed the contracts on behalf of Milestone, allowing them to get on with what they do best: providing a quality service to their customers.

BENEFITS

  • Savings of £7,000 over their new two-year contract.
  • Establish long-term control over their future running costs.
  • Cost predictability in an age of uncertainty and a rapidly rising energy market.
  • Maximise the accuracy of their financial forecasts with a tighter control over spending.
  • Remove the burden of managing their business utilities in-house.

MILESTONE TESTIMONIAL

Great Annual Savings have played a key role in enabling us to control our energy costs.

From day one, David and the team looked after us and ensured the process was managed professionally and completely hassle-free.

I have a strong working relationship with Great Annual Savings and would not hesitate in recommending their services to other businesses.
