Tony O'Halloran

Tony’s knockout November

The lead-up to Christmas just took a special twist for GAS Team Leader Tony O’Halloran, who was the Group’s top performer during the month of November.

His incentive win for the bumper month will see him sent to the massive Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora boxing match at the O2, London, in a VIP lounge, with travel and accommodation.

The hotly anticipated fight is on 22 December and will allow Tony to take three guests on his special festive trip.

Tony earned the luxury prize for being the Group’s top sales performer and has praised the GAS culture for its propensity to reward hard work and exceptional results.

Tony said: “It has been such a busy month, I didn’t even realise I had won.  But, I feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to attend such a high-profile event and also to be able to share this prize with my loved ones; two of whom have not visited our capital city, so this will be a great experience for them.

“Life at GAS is great.  Anybody’s success is mainly down to themselves and the attitude with which they approach their job.  GAS has provided me with the type of working environment that really suits me, which has enabled me to flourish and reach high performance levels.

“Once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and incentives all help drive you.  But, ultimately, your ability to succeed here comes down to your attitude.”

Congratulations and enjoy your trip Tony.  See if you can pick up some last-minute Christmas shopping in the capital!

Paul JohnsonGroup Financial Director

Paul Johnson is very much a home-grown talent.

He joined Great Annual Savings Group in its infancy, fresh from a youth career as a professional footballer with Hartlepool United.  He quickly established a reputation within the business and aced all required accountancy qualifications in the space of four years to become the Group’s Management Accountant.

Several successful projects later, Paul was promoted to Head of Finance.  When the former FD left GAS, he took on the mantle of the business’ most senior finance professional; boasting a string of incredible achievements all under the age of 30.

“I have witnessed phenomenal growth at the Group over the many years I’ve worked here and I’m looking forward to guiding the Group into an exciting new chapter.”

Interesting fact:

Paul made his professional debut for Hartlepool United against Bournemouth in the Football League.  Some say Danny Ings still resides in his pocket to this day.
